This is a new concept of training which combines the fun element of cooking with the serious business of communication. It is one of the rare corporate activities that truly utilises all of the five senses and hence gives you a fully immersed experience of what it is like to have fun and learn at the same time.

The activity begins with an interactive introduction into communication and its importance in everyday life. We will examine individual communication styles and discuss how to spot the styles of others. We will immerse you in some short practical sessions which are designed to highlight the benefits of being specific with your processes of communication.

After the introduction, you will put into practice what you have learnt in the kitchen. In pairs, you will be given a simple recipe of a well known 3 course meal. One of you will be designated the cook, and the other the chef.

You will have a 15 minute brainstorming session as you decide the roles and the «optimum» method of communication between each other. Under the guidance of the chef, the cooking will begin.

Chef The Chef will have their hands tied behind their backs and their job is to read the instructions simply, carefully and succinctly to the cook.

Cook The Cook will be blindfolded and their job is to carry out the instructions given to them by the chef word for word.

Creative competition:

The instructions have carefully been written and if followed exactly, you will create the perfect dish. The temptation however, is to interpret and paraphrase which can lead to some very interesting results.

At the end of this activity, you will get to eat your creation, so the best communicators will have the best dining experience! Our expert chef will decide on the best dish.

To close the session, your trained facilitator will give you and your group some valuable feedback. Each person will receive a certificate of participation.
